Located on the border of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Hukou Waterfall is the most spectacular section of the Yellow River. During the dry season, the waterfall spans approximately 30 meters in width, expanding to 50 meters in the flood season. With a torrential discharge of 1,000 cubic meters per second, the raging waters plunge into the gorge, creating the awe-inspiring phenomenon described as "a thousand miles of the Yellow River funneled into one壶 (kettle-shaped) waterfall." In winter, the cascade transforms into a glittering ice sculpture, while spring and autumn bring ethereal mist rainbows. The site is open until 18:30, with an admission fee of 90 yuan.
