一、平遥牛肉

　　平遥牛肉是博大精深、源远流长的中国食文化的精华之一，古汉时就有“卖刀买犊，卖刃买牛，游刃有余”的对牛肉加工的描述，而风味独特、久负盛名的平遥牛肉早在明清时代就已远销亚洲各国，史载清末，慈禧太后途经平遥，享用平遥牛肉后，闻其香而提其神，品其味而解其困，故将其定为皇宫贡品。平遥牛肉久负盛名，起源年代无考，清代时已誉满三晋。清嘉庆年间，邑人雷金宁及其子孙三代，在平遥牛肉城内文庙街设有兴盛雷牛肉店，长达百年。

二、平遥推光漆器

　　 推光漆器是一种工艺性质的高级油漆器具，以手掌推出光泽而得名。山西著名工艺品平遥推光漆器外观古朴雅致、闪光发亮，绘饰金碧辉煌，手感细腻滑润，耐热防潮，经久耐用，诚为漆器中之精品。 据记载，平遥制作推光漆器始于唐代开元年间，具有悠久的历史。现有品种多为高档屏风、挂屏、电视柜、大小衣柜、角柜、酒柜、陈列柜、首饰匣等。底漆多以墨黑、霞红、杏黄、绿紫为主，上面绘以具有民族风格的图案，如古典小说栩栩如生。

三、平遥长山药

　 平遥长山药则被国内外称为“中国小人参”，是当地久负盛名的特产，其制品营养丰富、性温味甘，是健身、扶脾、养胃的上等滋补药品，远销南洋群岛、日本、美国旧金山等地。长山药又名怀山药，是多年生缠绕草本植物。长山药是一种营养丰富的食品，经加工后又是健脾、养胃、益气的滋补药品。外国人把长山药称为“中国人参”。不仅如此，它可以起到人参起不到的作用。人参燥热，青年人不宜服用，但长山药老年人、青年人和少年儿童皆都适宜。
